NUCLEUS meeting in São Luís, Maranhão

The Postgraduate Program in Agroecology of Maranhão State University will host between April 23 – 27, 2018 the 4th ‘NUCLEUS’ workshop ‘Nitrogen-efficiency in smallholder agriculture of the eastern periphery of Amazonia’ and synthesize research from the British-Brazilian Newton-Fund/CONFAP network on nitrogen in agriculture. Researchers from the University of Nottingham, Rothamstead Research Center, Bangor University and Aberdeen University, as well as from São Paulo State University/UNESP and Embrapa Rice and Beans (Goiania State) Federal University of Goiás, and the Goiano Federal Institute will discuss key achievements and future cooperation perspectives, and will visit on-farm Agroecology research sites in rural communities of Santa Rita, Pirapemas and Brejo de Anapurus counties.
